WE SKATE MUNICIPAL

A community and a skate park are only as good as the sum of their parts. At Omega Ramps, we seek to understand all of the parts of your community in order to deliver the best skate experience for your community.

1

Listen

Our shared success is founded upon our partnership with you and your community and listening is the keystone of that partnership. We want to hear from everyone interested including park planners, riders, parents of riders, and other stakeholders.

2

Assess

Assessing involves two parts. First, we compile and sort through all info gathered from clients and stakeholders from the previous step. Second, we gather relevant data related to the project site such as size, slope, access, other ammenities, othesite conditions, etc. The assessments lead us to the parameters that will dictate how we design and build your skate space.

3

Design

Our design process starts with our experienced team of actual skateboarders transforming insights from the assessment stage into dynamic 3D concepts and preliminary pricing. We’ll collaborate with you every step of the way, refining costing and enhancing the designs, adding more detail as we go. Once the designs and costs are approved, we convert the 3D models into Construction Drawings (CDs) to kick off the building and bidding phase. During design we also create stunning, high-quality renderings that help cities present and showcase the project to their communities.

4

Build & Bid

Once the design is finalized, Omega Ramps gets to work crafting the ramps, rails, boxes, and other custom features that will bring your skatepark to life. Concurrenlty, a bid package will go out for onsite contractors to execute scope such as excavation, footings, concrete support walls, and landscaping—all based on the Construction Drawings (CDs) from the design phase. This ensures that everything comes together seamlessly and on schedule.

5

Install

With the skatepark components expertly crafted and the site fully prepared, the pieces are then shipped to the job site for installation. Depending on the licensing requirements of the state and municipality of the skatepark, Omega Ramps' skilled installers will either handle the installation directly or oversee experienced local contractors, ensuring the job is done to the highest standards and with full supervision.

We use modular precast concrete components to design and build the perfect skateable project for your neighborhood and community.

Why precast
concrete?

Economical

It’s more affordable than pour-in-place concrete based on the amount of labor that needs to be used to create them. And little to no costs on long term maintenance like wood and steel.

Durable

Concrete is far more durable than wood ramps or even steel ramps. Our ramps are made with fiberglass reinforced high strength concrete which results in 2-3x tensile strength than traditional steel rebar.

Likeable

Concrete is the preferred skating surface compared to wood or steel. And our ramp shapes are computer designed for perfect transitions that create a fast and predictable skate experience. coping sits perfectly in our ramps with just the right amound to "bump out" for transition riding.

Speedy

Once the site is prepared, our installs take mere days compared to weeks and months of pour-in-place parks. Many projects are delivered in a couple of months or less.

Aesthetic

Our proprietary ramp design gives the ramps and parks an architecturally designed aesthetic.

Quiet

Concrete provides a quieter skating experience compared to the noise created by wood and steel ramps. Allowing a more enjoyable experience for the whole neighborhood.
